Mythic Light

“Mandy Greer’s chandelier was originally exhibited at Roq La Rue in 2011, but like much of her work it transforms and transmogrifies over time as she adds and removes pieces. Mandy works with images culled from archetypical symbolism with a hefty dose of mythic imagery, so it makes sense that her works also physically change over time like stories or people or landscapes do.”

—Kirsten Anderson, owner at Roq La Rue Gallery and one of four curators who organized Out of Sight, an exhibition mounted during Seattle Art Fair last month on the third floor of King Street Station. The show featured artwork by more than 100 local artists, including Greer’s “Honey Moon, Silver Lake.”
