—Butoh artist Kaoru Okumura, who performed Orasho – the Prayers of Nagasaki at the Seattle International Butoh Festival in early April. She performed alongside artwork by Yukio Kawano, who created her “Fat Man” atomic bomb out of kimonos owned by her grandmother, a survivor of the atomic bomb attacks on Japan during War World II, and stitched it together with strands of her own hair.
