Natasha Lekwa

Creativity has pumped through Natasha's veins for as long as she can remember. A natural born singer, she has been performing since the ripe age of four. However, off-stage she finds herself drawn to the written word. Thus, in June of this year, she will be a proud graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in English Language and Literature.

Although she has always called the Seattle area home, one of Natasha’s deepest passions is to travel. On her biggest trip in the fall of 2008, she circumnavigated the world via ship on a life-changing study abroad program where she explored eleven different countries, including Namibia, where she is depicted here:

Highlights of her around-the-globe trip:

  • River boating down the Amazon River in Brazil
  • Skydiving in Cape Town, South Africa
  • Shark-cage diving in South Africa
  • Touring the Taj Mahal in Agra, India
  • Bathing in the River Ganges in Varanasi, India
  • Crawling through the Cu Chi tunnels in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  • Seeing Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, Cambodia
  • Struggling to travel through China
  • Hiking the Great Wall of China

When not globe-trotting, or doing invaluable behind-the-scenes work as an editorial intern for City Arts, this Norwegian-speaking blonde can be found gallivanting around Seattle with her sorority sisters or slangin' pizzas in downtown Bellevue.
