Stacey Levine
Stacey Levine wrote My Horse and Other Stories (PEN/West Fiction Award) and the novels Dra--- and Frances Johnson (finalist, Washington State Book Award). Her short fiction collection The Girl with Brown Fur was published in 2009. A Puschcart Prize nominee, her fiction has appeared in the Denver Quarterly, Fence, Tin House and The Fairy Tale Review. She has contributed to American Book Review, Bookforum, Fodor's City Guides, the Stranger, the Chicago Reader, and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, as well as City Arts. Her libretto for The Wreck of the St. Nikolai, an opera performed in Seattle in 2005, is based on battles between the Pacific Northwest Quilyeute tribes and Russian fur traders.
