Catch This: Best of Art Walk Awards in Capitol Hill

Blitz, Capitol Hill's second Thursday Art Walk, is celebrating its one year anniversary. To help celebrate, City Arts presents the third installment of the Best of Art Walk Awards at the Grey Gallery and Lounge. 

Host Joey Veltkamp and his team of guest judges will choose three finalists after taking in all the artwork hanging in this month's gallery walk, and the general public (that's you) votes on the one who gets the $500 cash prize.

Also at Blitz: enjoy a rare Fake Mustache Walking Tour led by mustachioed volunteers, and check out the South Transit Wall adjacent to Cal Anderson park, where visual artists and musicians have turned a construction project into a mixed-media installation and toy music ensemble.

Blitz runs from 5:00pm-8:00pm, and the Art Walk Awards begin at 8:30pm. Everything is free. Also, Unicorn is hosting an after-after party. 

So wear comfortable shoes.
