Following on the success of the EPIC project it staged in March, the Rawstock Film Festival returns to the Central Heating Lab at ACT Theatre tonight to once again showcase Seattle’s most visceral filmmakers. This time, the five year old festival has traded in the envelope-pushing epic for the envelope-pushing serial, Every Day is a Journey. In this new monthly program, local film directors tell a story with no predetermined course, picking up where each month's previous film left off.
The end result might not be wholly coherent. But it will most definitely be fun. To get the full-effect of the project, though, it is best to get in on the ground floor. It will be like watching True Blood. Only you will be surrounded by other people. And you probably should wear pants.
