Catch This: NO! at Kirkland Arts Center

Brian Gillis' exhibit "NO!" (currently up at Kirkland Arts Center through October 6) explores unexpected examples of social defiance through mixed media. Using installations that normally wouldn't seem to fit together, including a model tank (in reference to Tiananmen Square), a safe dialer (made by Gillis himself), hydroponic agriculture (shown above), and more, Gillis asks us to consider powerful examples of defiance, and see them in a more affirmative light.
