Catch This: Steambot at Kirkland Arts Center

Curated by Cable Griffith and Genevieve Tremblay (two crucial Eastside arts leaders), STEAMBOT opens tonight at Kirkland Arts Center, featuring work by artists Rebecca Cummins, Pat Gallagher, Rusty Oliver, Randy Moss, and Simon Winder.
KAC's openings are always fun. Check the free event out tonight from 6pm to 8:30pm. The exhibit remains open through December 3.
More from the exhibit Web site after the jump:
STEAMBOT is an experimental and collaborative project, incubator, and exhibition, featuring artwork that combines both current and 1900’s-era technology. Through a jury process, STEAMBOT has selected a group of five artists, programmers, fabricators, and visionaries to combine their ideas and skills to create an exhibition of interactive work that collapses the time between the cutting edge of today and the craftsmanship and ingenuity of the past. Taking inspiration from pioneers like Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, STEAMBOT will look at the history of technology in the region, its role in our society, and engage a wide audience in the spirit of partnership and collaboration. STEAMBOT brings together worlds of art, technology, industry, and history, while demonstrating the benefit of interdisciplinary exploration.
The above image is unrelated to this exhibit. I just thought it looked cool.
