Behind the Scenes with the Lonely Forest

Last month, the Lonely Forest released its major label debut, Arrows, an album filled with powerful, driving pop highlighted by the emotional vocal delivery of frontman John Van Deusen. Arrows is a more focused effort than the band's regional breakout, We Sing the Body Electric, but it does pick up where that album left off (while covering some of the same ground, most notably with a rerecorded version of the epic "We Sing in Time").

The band is currently in the middle of a never-ending tour in support of that album, but they wanted their Northwest fans to know they were thinking of them, so the band decided to send City Arts a little sneak peak at the making of the Northwest-philic track, "Live There," recorded by Chris Walla at Sound City in Los Angeles.
