Gold Leaves Visits the Song Show Studio

A digital riff on the quarterly performance series that takes place at the Rendezvous in Seattle, the Song Show Podcast showcases the best in Northwest songwriting. Including live performances, interviews and picks from host Mark Baumgarten, the Podcast is a quick and easy way to sample some of the latest sounds of the local music scene. In this episode, Grant Olsen, the mind behind Seattle's slightly psychedelic folk outfit Gold Leaves, stops by the studio to talk about his band's debut release, The Ornament. After flubbing his band's name, host Mark Baumgarten asks Olsen to talk about his songwriting process and the inspiration behind three tracks from the album: "Silver Lining," "The Ornament" and "Cruel & Kind."
