Around Town: Hilltop Trot
- the Editors — August 2, 2010
Romp and Circumstance
The one-piece fashion phenomenon known as the romper was given a makeover at Fulcrum Gallery’s “Hilltop Trot,” a formal fashion show featuring the work of designers Zoe Vanessa Johnson, aka “Persimmon,” and local Ondia Shapiro of Vixens House of Shoes and Apparel. In an edgy blend of local fashion, art and music, the show brought together artists and fashionistas alike to explore this practical traditional piece in all manners of delightfully impractical ways.
