The Song Show: RA Scion
July 6, 2010 at 12:22 PM | City Arts Online
RA Scion of Common Market, a major name in Seattle hip-hop, brings out acoustic versions of "Dust" and "Forty Acres" to the Song Show at the Can Can.
Accompanied by a lone drum and standing bass, Scion challenges what we're really made of and revisits his own roots in the Midwest. Scion also sat down with Mark Baumgarten to discuss Seattle why he thinks Fremont is a "bastion of bullshit," how he feels about Common Market's success and their concept album Tobacco Road, in which Scion reconnects his roots to his childhood in Kentucky.
