Sheer Lunacy

Giant Steps, an art exhibition inside King Street Station, opened Thursday, March 3, with hundreds of revelers filling the 23,000-square-foot space on the third floor of the historic Pioneer Square train station. Curator Greg Lundgren asked artists to propose artwork to be displayed on the moon; the 50 artworks in the show were wildly varied and included Vikings on the Moon, the half-sized Viking warship modeled in miniature by W. Scott Trimble. A jury selected Carrie Bodle and Amaranth Borsuk’s Wave Signs for the $10,000 prize.
The exhibition is on view through April 3.
